LYDIA M. THIES
Attorney Lydia M. Thies is admitted to practice law in the State of Wisconsin. She earned her Juris Doctor from Mitchell Hamline School of Law in 2025, graduating cum laude and earning recognition on the Dean’s List for academic excellence. Before law school, Attorney Thies built a strong foundation in both legal and criminal justice studies. She completed her bachelor’s degree in history at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee in 2021, following her associate degree in Criminal Justice from Southwest Technical College in 2015. That same year, she successfully completed the Wisconsin State Law Enforcement Academy. Prior to becoming an attorney, Lydia spent more than a decade working as a paralegal, with a primary focus on family law. This experience provided her with a deep understanding of legal processes and client advocacy, skills that continue to inform her work today. A lifelong resident of Crawford County, Attorney Thies is dedicated to serving her community both inside and outside the courtroom. Outside of her practice, she and her husband are raising their four children and remain deeply involved in local community activities.
